Nicolette Visser operates a Physiotherapy Practice (Nicolette Visser Physiotherapy) in Hillcrest, Durban.  She completed her honours degree in Physiotherapy at Wits Medical School in 2000 and worked in private hospitals and orthopaedic practices for 2 years before joining a sports and orthopaedics practice in 2002.  Her passion for assessing and treating neuromuscularskeletal injuries moved her to complete her postgraduate certificate in Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2005 and start her own private practice in 2008.

Recently, In 2016, she also became a certified International Lymphoedema and Wound Care Therapist (ILWTI).

Nicolette believes that Physiotherapy is both an art and a science and loves being able to make a positive difference in peoples lives through thorough assessment and individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.  The focus at Nicolette Visser Physiotherapy is rehabilitation to optimal function and performance, be it for an athlete or an elderly person.

Dry Needling is a treatment modality that often yields impressive results and Nicolette facilitates on Dry Needling courses and assists with examination of participants on Optimal Dry Needling courses.  The myofascia as a source of pain has always intrigued her.

Nicolette is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa), the SASP (South African Society of Physiotherapy) and a member of the OMT and Sports Physiotherapy special interest groups as well as LAOSA(Lymphatic Association of South Africa).

Treating running injuries, rehabilitation of the shoulder complex, Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ) rehabilitation and treating headaches as well as back and neck pain are among her interests.
